Long have I wondered why the fascination by so many with post-Apocalyptic movies, TV series, books...(The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, I, Robot, I Am Legend, etc.) The more I know and see of human tragedy...I'm thinking that spiritually we're more there than we think. Those physical pictures from films are similar to the spiritual and social devastation around us. May people's lives are similar to a post Hurricane landscape. Thankfully, there are good folks like those at Bartow Family Resources to come alongside when there's not much left but a trash pile, and hearts are shredded as with shrapnel.
