A Warning of A Dangerous Decision
Some of the most terrifying verses in the Bible...and any nation or person could be judged by these: Jeremiah 7: 26-28
"Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers.
“You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you; and you shall call to them, but they will not answer you. You shall say to them, ‘This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the Lord their God or accept correction; truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.'"

What IF?
In Exodus 3, The Lord has overviewed for Moses how He plans to free the Israelites from their Egyptian bondage. This presentation was made through the medium of a burning bush...pretty good audio/visual!!
In chapter 4, Moses begins his response with "What IF, and....." followed by several possible negative outcomes. The Lord responds, clarifies, explains, and instructs thoroughly.
Moses' questions are difficult for him to get resolved...even while chatting with a flaming shrub!! "What IF?" can be a paralyzing question, when followed by negative possibilities.
A more challenging, motivating use can be "What IF I DON'T do this? What IF I don't step up, step out?"

Post Apocalyptic Days?
Long have I wondered why the fascination by so many with post-Apocalyptic movies, TV series, books...(The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, I, Robot, I Am Legend, etc.) The more I know and see of human tragedy...I'm thinking that spiritually we're more there than we think. Those physical pictures from films are similar to the spiritual and social devastation around us. May people's lives are similar to a post Hurricane landscape. Thankfully, there are good folks like those at Bartow Family Resources to come alongside when there's not much left but a trash pile, and hearts are shredded as with shrapnel. Take a moment, help someone get healing!
